Theft from Vehicle
On May 28, 2019, officers attended an address on John St. in regards to a theft. Sometime between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. an unknown suspect smashed a window in a vehicle and gained entry. The suspect removed a portable debit machine and cash. If anybody witnessed the theft please call the Belleville Police or Crime Stoppers.
Break and Enter
On May 28, 2019 at 8 p.m., officers attended an apartment building on Dundas St. E. Upon arrival officers received information from a tenant that sometime during the day, suspects entered the apartment and stole a television set. The suspects then left in a red SUV. Police have possible suspects and the investigation is continuing. Again if any member of the public has any information please contact the Belleville Police or Crime Stoppers.
Domestic Dispute
On May 28, 2019 at 9:45 p.m., officers attended an address on Wilkins St. in regards to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival officers spoke to the complainant and the accused. The investigation revealed that the accused was on probation and one of the conditions was that under no circumstances was he to have any alcohol in his body while with the complainant. The male was intoxicated and arrested. He was charged with breach of probation and uttering threats. He was held for a bail hearing on May 29, 2019.
