Updated forecasts are predicting that an additional 7.62 cm of water level increase is expected in Belleville this coming week.
This increase will put the water levels at 2017 levels or slightly higher.
The city of Belleville’s emergency management committee met Friday morning to get lakefront water level updates from Quinte Conservation.
Because of the updates, the west leg access of Victoria Park has been closed. The east leg roadway will be converted to two-way traffic to accommodate boat owners.
Additional sandbags have been placed along the end of Meyers Pier to protect it from wave waters.
The city will continue to monitor the flooding.
