Boaters will be pleased to hear that the Trent-Severn Waterway officially opens for the 2019 navigational season tomorrow.
All lock stations are operational and staff will be on hand to help boaters through as of 9:00 a.m.
The TSW was scheduled to open last week but was delayed because of extremely high water levels and flows throughout the waterway.
Water levels are still higher than normal, so staff will be conducting dam operations and increasing flows during the evening and outside of normal hours.
Land-based visitors are welcome as well, but everyone should be extra cautious around waterways until flows and levels drop to normal.
