Sunday gun hunting in parts of the Municipality of Brighton will again be up for discussion at Brighton council’s meeting tomorrow.
Resident Donald Mattison will present a petition with 137 names on it asking that council reinstate Sunday hunting in the municipality during regular hunting seasons.
All municipalities surrounding Brighton now allow gun hunting on Sundays in certain areas.
This will be the fourth time since 2005 that Brighton council has been lobbied to allow Sunday hunting but the idea has always faced strong opposition.
