The Belleville Police Service responded to 51 calls for service between May 19, 2019 at 5 a.m. and May 20, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Domestic Assault
On May 19, 2019 at 7:30 p.m., police responded to Ashley Street regarding a domestic. Through investigation police learned that a 25-year-old male assaulted his 25-year-old fiancé and left the scene. Police located the male operating a motor vehicle a short time later and an arrest was made. Although not intoxicated, the male was given a 3-day suspension for driving with alcohol in his system and he was charged with Domestic Assault. He received a court date in June to face the charges.
Arrested on Outstanding Warrants
On May 19, 2019 at 4 p.m., police observed a known male who was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants while conducting pedestrian safety enforcement. The 35-year-old Belleville male, Terrance Gray, was arrested on the strength of the warrants for multiple shoplifting offences, Fail to Comply with Probation Orders, and release conditions. He was brought to the Belleville Police Service on the strength of the warrants where he was held for bail.
Belleville, Ontario – On May 19, 2019 at 7:30 a.m., police brought into custody a 24-year-old Belleville male, Kyle Mackenzie Baker, who was wanted on outstanding warrants in Belleville for Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 counts) and arrested in Kingston on an unrelated matter. He was held for bail at the Belleville Police Service.
