The fight against climate change is one of the most important fights of our generation, and future generations depend on us.
That was the message delivered by Hastings-Lennox and Addington MP Mike Bossio yesterday (Thursday) in the House of Commons.
He says climate change is having a devastating effect financially on Canadians.
He spoke about flooding experienced in Bancroft in 2013, flooding in 2014 in Corbyville and Foxboro, the drought in 2016 followed by flooding again in the spring of 2017 and then a severe drought in the late summer and fall of that same year.
He stated the science is clear and the impact on human lives is clear and this is a climate emergency.
Bossio said he has always stood up for the environment and will continue to do so.
