A name for a new elementary school to be built in Belleville’s east end will be voted on by the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board at the end of the month.
The Board’s Operations and Finance Committee accepted the recommendation of a special school naming committee which chose the name Easthill Elementary School as being the most suitable.
The new school will be built on the site of Queen Elizabeth school on MacDonald Avenue. Queen Elizabeth will be demolished to make room for it.
The over 10 million dollar school will be a consolidation of Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria schools.
