Belleville’s Tim (Irish) Cronin will defend his Canadian light heavyweight boxing title this Saturday at the CAA Centre in Brampton.
The 35-year-old Cronin will take on 34-year-old Robin Young.
Cronin first won the title in April 2017 when he scored a unanimous decision against New Brunswick boxer Nathan Miller in Toronto. Although he has fought four times since, this will be Cronin’s first title defence.
Cronin has a record of 11-2-2 with two knockouts.
Young is moving up from the super middleweight division where he has a record of 12-4 with 10 knockouts.
The fight is being promoted by Belleville’s Tyler Buxton.
