The project is on track towards repairing the bridge at the Belleville – Quinte West boundary.
The project is the rehabilitation of the Wallbridge Loyalist Road bridge over Moira Street West and the Canadian National Railway tracks.
This is on Belleville’s “boundary road” with Quinte West.
Project Manager Barry Simpson says the parapet walls need repair.
There may be some lane sharing on the bridge in the future.
Design work has been awarded to HP Engineering Inc. at a cost of $76,308.90 and will be done this year.
Both cities put $100,000 in their capital budgets this year for the work.
Simpson says the repair work will probably be done in 2020.
The two cities share the cost of the project.
