Quick thinking and fast reaction kept a grease fire from turning into a full blown house fire early this (Friday) morning in Prince Edward County.
Firefighters from three halls were called to a residence on Stinson Block Road not far south of Consecon at around 1:30.
When they arrived they learned that the resident had put a grease fire out himself and there was no emergency.
He was assessed by EMS paramedics for possible smoke inhalation.
