The local landscape is looking quite a bit cleaner now than it did just at the end of last week.
Around 2,000 people registered in the annual Quinte Trash Bash event held Saturday, and many more took part that did not register.
In Belleville, 400 people took some time to collect trash in parks and neighbourhoods, filling one and a half dumpsters and six recycling carts.
In Trenton, 1,510 people registered, including students, filling one dumpster and three recycling bins.
In Batawa, 138 bags of garbage were collected.
Tyendinaga Township residents managed to fill two dumpsters as 280 people signed up to bash some trash.
