Six weeks has been set aside beginning in March of next year to hold a second-degree murder trial for a 27-year-old
Belleville man.
Brandon Baptiste was charged in April of 2017 after Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory man Kenneth Ferrill was shot in the abdomen, later dying in hospital.
Baptiste also faces several firearms charges.
He is out of custody on $125,000 bail.
Two weeks of pre-trial motions will begin February 24 with the judge and jury trial set to begin on March 23.
The trial had been delayed after Baptiste hired another lawyer.
