A house was destroyed by fire east of Bancroft early today.
Firefighters responded around 2 a.m. (Thursday) to a house fully engulfed in flames on Fort Stewart Road, which is near McArthurs Mills.
The lone resident of the house got out safely but was treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
