Bay of Quinte Neil Ellis is helping seniors in Quinte West stay active.
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 110 is receiving $25,000 for their project Caring, Cooking, and Comradeship.
This program allows seniors in the community to come together and learn about nutrition and enhance cooking skills. It is especially geared towards seniors who have lost a loved one, to help them adjust by developing new skills and meeting new community members.
The funding announcement was made on behalf of the Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister of Seniors.
Funding for this project is being provided by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program.
