Grass fires in the county

Prince Edward County firefighters were kept busy with two grass fires early last evening.

The first was in a field on Snider Road in Ameliasburgh ward around 6:30.

A few minutes later another grass fire was reported, this time in a field on MacSteven Drive in the
northeast part of Picton.

There was no property damage in either fire and about two acres of grass was burned in each of them.
