Belleville, Ontario – On April 17, 2019, Police responded to seven motor vehicle collisions, with two being referred to the Collision Reporting Center.
At 2 p.m., Police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Catharine Street. There were no injuries reported and an investigation resulted in a 46-year-old male being charged with Change Lane Not In Safety.
At 2:42 p.m., Police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Dundas Street East. Minor injuries were reported and the collision is still under investigation.
At 4:13 p.m., Police responded to a two-vehicle, fail to remain collision that occurred in the parking lot of a business on Bell Blvd. The collision is still under investigation.
At 4:35 p.m., Police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Palmer Road. There were no injuries reported and an investigation resulted in a 17-year-old male being charged with Careless Driving.
At 6:05 p.m., Police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Sidney Street. No injuries were reported and the collision is still under investigation.
Suspended Driver
Belleville, Ontario – On April 18, 2019, while on general patrol, Police observed a vehicle driving erratically on Dundas Street East. Officers conducted a traffic stop as they suspected the driver to be impaired. An investigation revealed that the 30-year-old female driver, who was not impaired, was driving while her licence was suspended. As a result, the female was charged with Driving While Under suspension and given a court date in May to face the charges.
