A long detour for residents of part of Kinlin Road in rural Tweed was in place for less than a day.
Kinlin Road was washed out when a beaver dam gave way and that, along with recent heavy rains, caused a section of road to be washed away.
The road was re-opened shortly before 4 p.m.
Tweed public works crews worked throughout the day to repair the road.
