Brighton council is hoping the Ontario Trillium Foundation will come through so an expanded and updated skateboard park can be built in King Edward Park next year.
Monday night, council voted to apply for a $125,000 grant from Trillium.
So far, $90,000 has been raised for the project and $20,000 is being spent on design work this year.
It’s expected the skateboard park improvements will cost around $200,000 in total.
