Two men from Cornwall are facing drug charges after the vehicle they were driving crashed and they fled on foot.
Lennox and Addington OPP say on Monday around 1 p.m. they responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 401 near Mitchell Road.
The pickup truck had struck a commercial vehicle, flipping onto its side before coming to rest against the centre median. The truck contained in excess of 100 lbs of packaged marijuana.
The OPP Canine and Emergency Response Team found the two men nearby.
Mathieu Periard, 29, is facing failure to stop after an accident, possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling and possession of cocaine charges.
He’s scheduled to appear in Napanee court on May 14.
David John Gaudet, 45, is also facing possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling and possession of cocaine charges.
He was held for a bail hearing in Napanee on Tuesday.
