Eastside Secondary School student Jacoby Dillon will be under the watchful eye of university football scouts this weekend. Dillon has advanced to the final 90 players invited to a three day Team Ontario tryout camp in Guelph.
Dillon is an inside linebacker and was one of eight members of the Quinte Skyhawks Junior Varsity Football team that took part in the Elite Combine Series run by Top Prospects Canada at the University of Toronto two weeks ago. He is the only one to be invited to Guelph where 60 will be selected to Team Ontario’s main camp at Queen’s University in Kingston in July.
Jacoby Dillon played for the former Quinte Saints who won the Bay of Quinte, COSSA and National Capital Championship. He is currently a Grade 11 student at Eastside Secondary School.
Also invited to the Team Ontario camp is Campbellford native Philip Jeffs. He’s an offensive lineman and attends Holy Cross Catholic School in Peterborough. .
