Northumberland OPP have laid drug and weapons charges following a traffic stop on Telephone Road in Brighton on Thursday.
Police say just after 1 p.m., officers stopped a pickup truck travelling westbound and noticed a strong smell of cannabis.
Over 13.5 kgs of marijuana and weapons, including a taser, were found and seized.
The street value of the marijuana is approximately $135,000.
Twenty-five-year-old Maxwell Drake Jenkins of Brighton and 24-year-old Breanne Hass of Quinte West are facing multiple charges including possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, and possession of a prohibited device or ammunition for dangerous purpose.
Hass was additionally charged with having care or control of a vehicle with cannabis readily available.
Both will appear in Cobourg court on May 22.
