Two arts organizations in Prince Edward County are going to make 2019 even better, thanks to some federal funding.
Bay of Quinte MP Neil Ellis was on hand Monday morning in Wellington on behalf of the Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism to announce a $10,000 investment to both The Festival Players of Prince Edward County and The Prince Edward County Chamber Music Festival.
MP Ellis says the County’s arts and culture sector continues to grow year after year.
Festival Players Managing Director and Producer Paul Flicker says this funding will help them bring nationally acclaimed talent to the County.
The funding is made available through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund.
Chamber Music Festival Board Member David Oliver says this money allows them to let people experience the arts who may not have the chance to otherwise.
Mayor Steve Ferguson says arts and culture are an integral part of the county.
