(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a hit and run collision that occurred on April 13, 2019.
Officers responded to the incident on Dundas Street East, between South Street and Byron Street at about 6:15 p.m., when it was reported that a 16-year-old boy had been hit by a car while riding his scooter on the crosswalk.
When officers arrived, they found that the boy had suffered minor injuries and had actually left the scene. The vehicle had also left.
The vehicle is described as a small silver car. It has damage to the windshield. The driver was a male, possibly in his 40s or 50s.
