Two men have been charged after separate traffic stops in Quinte West on Tuesday.
The first incident was around 8:30 p.m. when officers tried to pull a vehicle over on Stanley Street, but the driver sped away and was located a short time later.
Twenty-six-year-old Matthew Spencer Fry of Cobourg is charged with dangerous driving, flight from police and breaching probation.
He has a court date on May 16.
Then at 11:30 p.m. officers stopped a car going 160 km/h in an 80 zone in the city and also found that the driver had a blood alcohol concentration over 80.
Forty-four-year-old Michael Edward Nolk of Quinte West is charged with impaired driving, stunt driving, having a G1 licence and being unaccompanied by a qualified driver, as well as being a novice driver with a blood alcohol content over zero.
His licence has been suspended, his car has been impounded and he has a court date on May 2.
