Two well known businessmen and former politicians will head up the fundraising campaign to build a six-bed regional hospice in Bayside.
Hospice Quinte has announced that Ross McDougall, CEO of McDougall Insurance and John Williams, President of Williams Hotels, will lead the Heart & Home Building Campaign.
The campaign’s goal is $9.5 million. The hospice would be built on land across from Bayside Secondary School that was donated by the City of Quinte West.
Quinte West has also donated $1 million toward the cause as has the City of Belleville. The Ministry of Health and Long Term Care is contributing $1.2 million.
Hospice Quinte assists terminally ill individuals and their caregivers throughout the region.
