Three organizations that provide activities and guidance for young people are now better equipped thanks to the employees at Enbridge Gas (formerly Union Gas) in Belleville.
The 12 employees in the office were able to access a grant through their company’s Helping Hands in Action program and then donated four new top quality bicycles plus accessories to the Quinte West Youth Centre, the John Howard Society, and ROC Youth Centre of Picton.
SportChek also played an important role by offering to build the bicycles.
All three benefitting organizations are local United Way agencies. Last year, employees at Belleville Union Gas donated around $11,200 to the United Way. In total, the company as a whole donated just over $1 million.
