Arrest Warrant Executed
On April 8, 2019, at 8 p.m., police arrested a local 33-year-old male who was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The male is being charged with assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats and is being held for bail.
Harassment Charges
On April 8, 2019, at 9:40 p.m., police arrested and charged an 18-year-old Belleville male for criminal harassment and breach of recognizance (2 counts). He is being held for a bail hearing.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
On April 8, 2019, Belleville Police responded to three separate motor vehicle collisions.
At 8:22 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Bleecker Avenue involving three vehicles where minor injuries occurred. One of the drivers is being charged with failing to stop at a stop sign.
At 2:08 p.m. and 4:58 p.m., police responded to two motor vehicle collisions on North Front Street where no injuries were sustained and the involved vehicles only suffered minor damages.
