T’is the season for grass fires and Prince Edward County firefighters were kept busy with them yesterday (Sunday).
County fire crews were called out to two large grass fires. The first was on Closson Road in the afternoon and the other was last evening on Fry Road.
Both were between five and eight acres in size.
No structures were affected and there were no injuries.
People are reminded that a lot of vegetation now is dead and therefore dry, and catches fire easily.
