There was a fire in Quinte West Saturday night.
Crews were called around 6 p.m. to Bay Hawley, where a duplex was heavily burning.
Fire Chief John Whalen says the century old home was a stubborn blaze.
Damage is estimated around $250,000.
The smoke was so bad that adjacent homes had to be evacuated.
