There will be some major work done on the village of Stirling’s water tower in the coming weeks.
Stirling-Rawdon council has approved a tender from the company Landmark Municipal Services of around half a million dollars to put a new lining in the tower.
There was only one tender for the job, however Stirling-Rawdon Mayor Bob Mullin says that isn’t unusual because there are only two companies in the entire province that do that kind of work.
Details on when the work will be done are now being worked out. The water tower will be out of service for five to eight weeks to complete the work. The work won’t affect residents’ water supply.
