The Belleville Police Service responded to 55 calls for service between April 1, 2019 at 5 a.m. and April 2, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Drug Bust
On April 2, 2019 at 1:32 a.m., police responded to the area of Benjamin Street regarding an assault. Police located and arrested an involved male who was wanted on outstanding warrants. Upon searching the male, police located an undisclosed quantity of crack cocaine, heroin and crystal meth. The 37-year-old male is being held for bail.
Theft of Jewellery
On April 1, 2019 at 4:40 p.m., police responded to a business in the Quinte Mall where a male stole an undisclosed quantity of jewellery. The male left on foot and police are continuing the investigation.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Between April 1, 2019 at 5 a.m. and April 2, 2019 at 5 a.m., police responded to three motor vehicle collisions. Investigations are ongoing in all three collisions and minor injuries were reported in only one of the collisions.
