The local Catholic Archdiocese is getting a new man at the top.
Pope Francis has announced that Reverend Michael Mulhall will become Archbishop Friday May 3.
He replaces Reverend Brendan O’Brien, who has held the position since 2007.
Mulhall comes from the Pembroke diocese, where he has served 12 years.
The Trent University grad has been a priest for 30 years.
The Archdiocese of Kingston goes from Trenton in the west, to east of Brockville, south of Prince Edward County and north to the borders of Ottawa.
