Chase Balisy scored the overtime winner as the Belleville Senators beat the Hartford Wolf Pack 3-2 Saturday night.
Jordan Murray tells Quinte News his goal late in the third was big.
Belleville’s Austin Fyten and Jordan Murray scored in regulation while Marcus Hogberg made 26 saves. Adam Huska turned away 31 shots for Hartford as Gabriel Fontaine and Tim Gettinger scored for the hosts.
Tied at 2-2 heading into overtime, Balisy won the game in the final minute of the extra frame as he was able to bury the puck back door after Adam Tambellini found Balisy with a delightful backhand feed as the Sens forward buried his first goal since Dec. 14.

The Wolf Pack had the only goal of the first period as with Joseph LaBate in the penalty box, Fontaine beat Stefan Elliott on the left wing before cutting inside and sliding a backhander past Hogberg for his 10th of the year at 8:24.
The Senators grabbed an equalizer at 5:31 of the second as after Erik Burgdoerfer banked a shot off the back boards, Fyten skated in back door to beat Huska for his first goal in a Belleville jersey.
However, Hartford grabbed its second lead of the night inside the final minute of the second frame with another power play goal as Gettinger tipped in Sean Day’s point shot with Murray in the box for delay of game.
Murray made amends and tied the game with 5:05 to play on the man advantage as his point shot beat traffic to find a way past Huska.
