Belleville Police Service responded to 84 calls for service from March 29, 2019 at 5 a.m. to March 30, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Stolen Vehicle
A stolen car in Belleville turned up in the early morning hours after it was destroyed by fire.
Belleville Police say a 2008 Ford F150 was reported stolen shortly after midnight.
Police say the vehicle was stolen between 9 p.m. and the time of the call to police.
Firefighters from Quinte West Station 3 were called to the Bayside Quarry for a vehicle fire shortly before midnight.
It was determined that vehicle was the one reported stolen.
The fire completely destroyed the truck.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Belleville Police have charged a cyclist following a collision on Friday evening.
Police were called to College Street East at North Park Street where a cyclist and vehicle collided.
According to police, the cyclist was headed in the wrong direction and crossed the intersection at a red light.
He was taken to hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
The cyclist is facing a charge of going through a red light.
Police also responded to a single vehicle collision during the rush hour commute in the Thrasher Road area.
Officials say the female driver lost control and the vehicle rolled several times.
The driver had minor injuries and was treated at Belleville General.
The investigation is ongoing.
Public Intoxication
A 21-year-old Stirling man is facing a charge of public intoxication after he mistook a cruiser for a cab.
Belleville Police say they were called to a north end business for a disturbance.
Officers observed a heavily intoxicated man trying to get into the cruiser, which was parked in front of the business.
The man was arrested for his own safety and later released.
