Hastings County municipalities should soon have improved internet connections throughout the county.
A provincial grant of $725,000 will be used to modernize the interconnection with municipalities and the county.
CAO Jim Pine, introducing the plan at county council Thursday tell Quinte News the fibre service to the 14 townships could also serve nearby businesses.
He says there will be staffing efficiencies at the long term care homes. and it will connect the municipalities to the county.
Pine expects to have a full plan in place in the near future.
