There was a heavy police presence not far south of Bancroft yesterday (Wednesday).
OPP responded to complaints about an unwanted person at a residence in L’Amable shortly before 11 o’clock in the morning.
Officers tried to arrest a man with mental health issues. It’s alleged he injured a family member at the residence. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
OPP say the man would not leave and barricaded himself inside.
The Emergency Response and Tactics and Rescue units responded and ended up using a taser
to take the man into custody.

The 31-year-old man was taken to a medical facility for treatment.
