Belleville Police responded to 54 calls for service between March 26, 2019 at 5 a.m. and March 27, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Suspicious Activity
On March 26, 2019, officers attended in the area of Hemlock drive in regards to teenagers in a shed in a backyard. An observant neighbor did not believe they belonged there and called police. Officers checked the shed which was empty. Officers also checked the area but could not locate the suspects.
Suspicious Bag
On March 26, 2019 at 1p.m., police attended near City Hall in regards to what appeared to be an abandoned duffle bag. Once officers arrived they located a person nearby who owned the bag. The person was a photographer taking pictures and the bag belonged to him. No further action taken.
Motor Vehicle Collision
On March 26, 2019 at 5:15 p.m., an officer attended on Millennium Parkway between Sidney St. and Hwy 62. A vehicle had pulled out of a private drive attempting to turn eastbound. That vehicle was truck by a westbound school bus. There were no students on the bus and no injuries. A 22-year-old female from Stirling was charged with fail to yield from a private driveway.
