The Belleville Police responded to 61 calls for service between march 25 at 5 .m. and March 26 at 5 a.m.
Theft from Vehicle
On March 25, 2019 at 5:23 a.m., officers attended on Charles Street in regards to a theft from a motor vehicle. Sometime overnight an unknown person entered the vehicle and stole three packs of cigarettes. The vehicle had been rummaged through but nothing else was taken.
Suspicious Incident
On March 25, 2019 at 7:04 a.m., officers attended an address on Dundas Street East in regards to a vehicle that was unlocked with men’s clothing inside and the keys in the cup holder.
Officers located the owner of the vehicle and advised him of the dangers of leaving his vehicle unlocked and the keys readily available.
Theft from vehicle
On March 25, 2019, officers attended on George Street in regards to a vehicle that had been entered overnight. The only thing that was taken was a blanket.
Police are reminding the public to not leave their keys or valuables in their vehicles and to lock their vehicles when left unattended.
