Businesses in downtown Belleville will soon be getting some help improving their online marketing and sales.
The Belleville Downtown Improvement Area has received a grant of $10,000 to establish what’s known as a Digital Service Squad.
The “squad” will consist of a specialist visiting downtown businesses to help staff set up Google Business and conduct a digital-readiness assessment leading to an application for a $2,500 Digital Transformation Grant.
Chair of the BDIA Kathryn Brown says the program will be a big plus for small businesses without affecting their costs.
