The Belleville Police Service responded to 33 calls for service between March 17, 2019 at 5 a.m. and March 18, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Arrested on warrant prior to leaving town.
On March 17, 2019 at 2:20 p.m., police were on general patrol in the area of Via Rail when a female known to have a warrant was observed entering the train station. Police located the female as she boarded a train, and she was arrested without incident. Hayley Pascoe of Belleville was arrested regarding a warrant for failing to comply with a condition of probation. She was held for a bail hearing.
Suspended driver caught with expired sticker for second time.
On March 17, 2019 at 11 p.m., police observed a vehicle on Bridge Street with an expired validation sticker. Police stopped the vehicle and the female driver was known to be a suspended driver from a similar incident on March 2 where the same female was stopped in a different vehicle with an expired validation sticker. A 56-year-old female from Belleville was once again charged with driving while under suspension and driving with an expired validation sticker. She will appear in court in April.
