Fecal assault
Belleville, ONT – On March 14, 2019 at 2 p.m., police responded to a complaint in the Tripp Avenue and Pepper Avenue area for a report of an assault involving dog feces. A gentleman was stopped in his car at the location when a female walked over and threw a bag of dog feces into the car, striking him, and injuring his eye. The female was located in a home close to the incident, and has been identified. An investigation is continuing. Domestic, gas leak and flooding
Belleville, ONT – On March 15, 2019 at 1:13 a.m., city police attended to a call in the northern portion of the city for a reported domestic dispute. Upon arrival police were met by a man claiming to have been attacked by his wife. During a search of the home for the suspected wife, police detected the odor of smoke from within. It was also evident that there had been flooding water in the basement. An investigation revealed the man’s wife had already fled to the home of a nearby neighbour. The Belleville Fire Department was contacted and attended to assist as there was a fire contained to a woodstove. Along with the flooding basement, there was also a minor gas leak within the home. All safety precautions were completed by Belleville Fire and luckily, nobody suffered any injury. There was property damage only. The female was located at the neighbour’s home, arrested without incident and transported to the Belleville Police Service and processed for breaching the peace. Alcohol was a factor in this incident. An investigation is continuing. Anybody with any information about this is asked to contact investigating officer Cst.
