Two Belleville residents are facing multiple charges for their involvement with area break and enters.
Central Hastings OPP have charged 47 year-old Barry Carr and 32 year-old Jessica Whiteman.
The Central Hastings Street Crime Unit, East Region Community Street Crime Unit, Quinte West Community Street Crime Unit and Belleville Police Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a home in Belleville on Thursday.
The two occupants of the residence were arrested and charged by Central Hastings OPP for a series of break and enters that occurred between February 11 and December 26, 2018.
Carr and Whiteman will appear for a bail hearing in Belleville today.
He is facing charges of:
- Possession Property Obtained By Crime Under $5,000 – 2 counts
- Mischief Under $5,000 – 4 counts
- Theft Under $5,000 – 3 counts
- Theft Over $5,000 – 1 count
- Break, Enter a place – commit indictable Offence – 4 counts
- Fail to Comply with Recognizance
- Resist Peace Officer
- Possession Break in Instruments
Whiteman is facing charges of:
- Possession Property Obtained By Crime Under $5,000 – 2 counts
- Mischief Under $5,000 – 4 counts
- Theft Under $5,000 – 3 counts
- Theft Over $5,000 – 1 count
- Break, Enter a place – commit indictable Offence – 4 counts
- Fail to Comply with Probation
They are linked to the following break and enters according to police.
On February 11, of 2018, Central Hasting OPP investigated a break, enter and theft to Stirling LCBO located at 125 North St, in Stirling-Rawdon.
On December 26, 2018, Central Hastings OPP investigated a break, enter and theft to Shore Acres Gallery in Marmora and Lake, which occurred between December 24, 2018, and December 26, 2018.
On December 26, 2018, Northumberland OPP investigated a break, enter and theft to a cottage located on Rylstone Road in the Trent Hills.
On December 26, 2018, Peterborough OPP investigated a break, enter and theft to the Ranch Restaurant on Highway 7 in Methuen Township, Peterborough County.
The investigation is ongoing.
