A national human resources firm is predicting a positive hiring climate in the Quinte region for the months of May, June, July, and August.
According to a ManpowerGroup Employment Survey done in this area, 20% of local employers plan on hiring staff in the second quarter of this year.
Meanwhile, most of the rest of the firms surveyed said they would go with the staff already on hand.
Only 7% of respondents were unsure about whether they’d hire, lay off, or keep their staff intact.
ManpowerGroup says the private sector is ramping up hiring, especially in Ontario and Quebec.
