Highway 401 westbound around Brighton has been reopened, following Sunday’s tractor trailer crash.
Around 10 a.m., there was a rollover by a tanker truck carrying hot paving tar, shutting down the westbound 401.
The thick coal tar mixture leaked onto the highway and solidified causing environmental and clean up challenges.
Crews have been working since to reopen the road.
There was a detour at Trenton going around to Brighton.
