Highway 401 westbound is closed to traffic around Brighton after a tanker truck that was heading east rolled shortly after 10 o’clock this morning (Sunday).
The cab of the truck is in the east but the tank itself is blocking the westbound lanes.
Hot pitch, a material used in paving, is leaking from the tank. The driver was not seriously injured.
Traffic will be slow in the eastbound lanes of the 401 around Brighton as one lane is blocked.

There have been several minor collisions this morning, especially on the 401 west of Trenton.
