A special weather statement is in effect for the Quinte region as we should prepare for some nasty weather this weekend.
Environment Canada says a Colorado Low will bring a freezing rain and snow mix overnight Saturday before changing to rain on Sunday.
The system will also bring gusty winds up to 70 or 80 kms/h on Sunday.
