Brighton council will have its first look at a proposed budget for this year at a special meeting tomorrow (Thursday) evening.
Under the proposed budget, municipal taxes would increase 5.5%.
That works out to an extra $78 a year on each $250,000 of residential assessment.
The proposed budget includes capital spending of close to 1.4 million dollars.
Budget discussions will start at 6:30 tomorrow evening in Brighton council chambers.
