Fire heavily damaged a house on Fleming Road in Trenton late yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.
Quinte West Fire Chief John Whalen says the home’s owner was alerted via an app on his phone that there might be a fire at the house
at 27 Fleming Road around 4 o’clock.
Firefighters responded and quickly knocked down flames burning in the living room area. The house was heavily damaged to the tune of around
$150,000. While the home’s owner had to be treated on scene for smoke inhalation, two dogs and a cat were rescued without injury.
The Electrical Safety Authority has been called in to investigate for an exact cause.
