A Loyalist Township manufacturing company is doubling their workforce thanks in part to support from the federal government.
Willis Manufacturing received over $57,000 to purchase technology that includes 3D design software and investment in training among other things.
Hastings-Lennox and Addington MP Mike Bossio says investments like this one create the jobs of tomorrow and prepare rural communities for the economy of the future.
Willis Manufacturing owner Jeff Willis says the investment has incentivized innovation and skills development and supported the company investing in their own people.
The investment through the Community Futures of Prince Edward Lennox Addingston, which receives support from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), served to leverage an additional $300,993 of private capital to finance the expansion of the advanced manufacturer.
