Things are moving slowly in the case of a former orthodontist’s estate, facing a massive civil court case.
Anthony Garry Solomon was charged in 2017 with making and possessing child pornography, voyeurism recording images of a person over the age of 18, and under 18.
The charges stem from an investigation that determined Solomon was video recording patients without their consent or knowledge.
Criminal charges were withdrawn after Solomon died of liver cancer.
Attorney Kris Bonn tells Quinte News that they have been contacted by 100 people, and they are submitting a class action lawsuit.
Bonn says they are awaiting a statement of defense from the estate.
A class action case management judge will decide whether the case will be heard as one case, or multiple civil lawsuits.
Bonn believes they will not have a court date until 2020.
